Ladylike Brooches

Fans of the brooch are in for a treat this fall, as the runway reinvents this classic piece with a flair for color and ladylike shapes.

Florals, starbursts, and pendants are given the designer treatment by the likes of Ralph Lauren and Carolina Herrera, each appearing in a multi-colored array of gemstones and metals. The runway proves, however, that ladylike brooches run the gamut when it comes to pairings by pinning them on classic gowns at Bottega Veneta, bright knitwear at Chanel, and even mafia-style suits at Giorgio Armani.
