Introducing...

Tonya Hawkes

Box clutches are a go-to choice for eveningwear, but you haven’t seen them done like this before. Tonya Hawkes, previously a designer for Tommy Hilfiger, Elie Tahari, and Sergio Rossi, as well as former creative director of DKNY and Furla, uses her life and surroundings as inspiration. Hawkes draws from her origins in the Pacific Northwest and its horseback riding influences, and from her time in Italy and New York City. She effortlessly incorporates all of these elements into an eponymous line of bags that takes a retro blueprint and spins it into an updated take on the classics. She plays with the silhouette of her clutches by trimming them with oversized studs in materials such as Lucite and wood, and works with high-quality leather skins, which adds a decadent element to the bags. The results are stunning.
