Line We Love

Chrissie Morris

An interesting mix of influences inspired the Chrissie Morris FW12 footwear collection. Morris cited Cubism, the Memphis Art Movement, and equestrian style as the touchstones for their gorgeous offerings for the upcoming season. While these influences ring true in the decorative elements of the shoes, there is a glamorous quality to each that is imparted by modern architectural styles as well. Deep platforms add new height to ankle boots and strappy sandals, some with sleek, polished exteriors, bisected by strips of bonded black leather. Spare use of reptile skin adds texture to the tops of shoes, while others are given an Art School vibe with huge geometric adornments on the toe. We’re crazy about the fusion of art and fashion, and few in the footwear world are doing it better right now than Chrissie Morris.
