Beauty Update: New Nail Polishes

Up until recently, we stuck firmly to the “black, red or french” rule when it came to nails. But one look at Essie’s new summer collection and we’re being enticed back into the coloring game.

Essie, without which we can’t imagine our weekly mani-pedis, consistently ranks as our office favorite across a wide range of criteria: variety, color, shine, longevity, and possibly the most whimsical marketing we have ever been privy to seeing. If older cult favorites such as After Sex and Fishnet Stockings no longer tickle your fancy, perhaps the summer collection’s superbly joyful new polishes will. The irresistible new shades -- Lovie Dovie, Luscious Lips, Cute as a Button and Funny Face -- can whet the appetite of anyone looking to update their beauty routine this summer.

And while we’re certain we’ll quickly return to our usual roster of favorites come fall, we’re equally certain we’ll welcome back the next batch of lively pink hues next summer with loving arms.
