Best of New York Fashion Week
Preen Fall 2010 Runway
With their brilliant fall collection, talented duo Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi further cemented Preen’s status as one of New York City’s hippest labels.
The roundup of gorgeously contrasted masculine/feminine clothing – strong-shouldered male suiting and audacious dresses, in particular – met perfectly with soft and sophisticated materials like cashmere and silk. Employing the distinctive use of mixed media (the androgynous-meets-playful effect was evident in every piece), the designers built the collection around the idea of a polished, more grown-up consumer who still retains her cool edge – and knows exactly what she wants.
