Lanvin Fall 2010 Runway
To a soundtrack of fast-paced drumming, Alber Elbaz presented – as per usual – a visually sensational collection of dresses (inspired by African tribalism) for Fall 2010.
With signature draped silhouettes, explosive embellishments, and heavy geometric jewelry, Lanvin’s Fall 2010 collection was a hybrid of urban simplicity and powerful womanhood amidst sharp pleats and exaggerated shoulders. Among the best of the collection were maribou- and ostrich- decorated dresses, no-nonsense jersey togas, and dynamic feather-adorned cocktailwear in green, navy, eggplant, and (lots of) sexy black. In total, the looks were typically stunning and exactly what we’ve come to expect from fashion’s most celebrated designer.
