Chanel Spring 2010 Couture
Move over, gold. Chanel is bringing silver back like never before.
In his first show ever for the fashion house to not include navy or black, Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel Spring 2010 Couture show was simply a lustrous, silvery dream amid swathes and swathes of gleaming clothes. From metallic tights – featured on almost every look of the runway – to space-age skirt suits, romantic shifts, embroidered, toga-like gowns (and of course, the wondrous heart-shaped hair!), the magnificent show was a revolutionary first step towards catering to the new decade’s younger couture clientele.
