Paris Fashion Week Highlights
VIDEO: Anne Valerie Hash SS11
Anne Valérie Hash is known for her masterful cutting skills. She applied her talents to her spring line and created a collection that is beautifully and tightly tailored.
Here, she favored creamy colors, sumptuous fabrics, and a heavy sportswear influence. Sleeves and pant legs were rolled, and models strolled down the runway with casual grace. Her drop-waist pants and deep-pocketed, grey, jersey coveralls teetered on the edge of oversized and ill-fitting, but her excellent sense of structure kept them in the territory of the refined. There were several lovely, romantic pieces like a grey, flowing baby doll dress trimmed with ruffles and beautifully draped khaki dress with one sleeve longer than the other. She softens the androgynous sportswear look later in the show with pretty ruffled tulle skirts, and gorgeous draped dresses topped off with wide blush pink sashes. This is a confident, wearable collection – each piece more perfect than the last.
