London Fashion Week Coverage
Felder Felder Spring 2012
London Fashion Week leaves behind some of the predictability of modern sportswear on the New York catwalks in favor of a tougher approach. In keeping with LFW’s edgy vibe, newcomers Felder Felder brought heavy metal style to the runway. Chokers, slicked back hair, and bondage-style harnesses adorned the entire collection – even the simple, chiffon frocks.
Overall, the collection was not a complicated one as it was comprised mainly of five types of dresses: 1) the floaty jungle print, 2) the thigh-high slit, 3) the liquid metal, 4) the sheer, and 5) the sheer and studded. Accentuating these looks were several types of motorcycle jackets in leather and shiny metallics. There were some tie-dyed boho maxi pieces in the mix, but Felder and Felder stuck to a dominant, raw feeling for SS12. For a hard-hitting dose of heavy metal pieces juxtaposed against featherweight fabrics and a light-colored palette, Felder Felder is the way to go for spring.
