London Fashion Week Coverage

House of Holland Spring 2012

If you want to know what all of the hippest girls in fashion will be wearing come Spring, look no further than the House of Holland SS12 runway. Holland promised “Pastel Punks” and delivered much more than that.

The show opened with a pitch-perfect ensemble: Bleach-stained jeans (the bleach patterns closely resembled clouds), a pastel color-blocked button up, python suspenders and python ankle boots. What followed was a rousing round of smash looks: color-blocked dresses, python-collared tops, ripped white fishnets, bleach-stained Bermuda shorts and dresses, and best of all: pastel tartan. Leopard print got blown up, distorted, and then splattered across different outfits. One of the most “wow-worthy” pieces in this collection was a skintight pair of python trousers that were sectioned off by a network of zippers. This collection blended a few very unusual one-off pieces into a hodge-podge of incredibly cool and quirky ensembles. The utter coolness that oozes from the HoH runway is so thick it’s nearly insufferable.
