Jaeger London Spring 2012
It is a wonder that a brand with the name “London” in the title would read so thoroughly Parisian for SS12, but Jaeger London’s latest collection is quintessentially French.
Wide sets of buttons dapple tops and skirts, giving them a nostalgic, vintage feel. Scalloped hems and triangular cut-outs provide the interesting details in this collection. One especially lovely outfit was a citrus yellow suit jacket with ¾ sleeves and a matching skirt. A sweet orange printed blouse was worn underneath and the long sleeves of the blouse bloomed to the wrist underneath the foreshortened sleeve of the jacket. Nautical striped tops were a must-have look as well. This collection was fresh and innocent – symbolic of Spring in every way. A Jaeger London girl is the type to have never said a cross word in her life, and would likely prefer a sweet Shirley Temple to a mixed drink at a soirée.
