London Fashion Week Coverage
Temperley London Spring 2012
Perhaps the perfect accessory to a Temperley London ensemble from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection would be a cabana boy. This 70s-inspired show featured breezy silk maxi dresses and caftans in prints and neutrals that were paired with oversized sunglasses and white headwraps. This look is “mogul’s wife” through and through, and made for a woman who spends her life sipping cocktails poolside.
The gowns from this collection possess a sinuous, slinky glamour, while the tap pants and ruffled shorts allowed for easy movement. That’s what this collection is really all about: languid, lazy, easy movement. The society woman who wears this collection raises her hand for a champagne toast, or to buff a nail, but for the most part remains inert – floating on a sea of ridiculous, enviable luxury.
