Milan Fashion Week Coverage
Emilio Pucci Spring 2012
Pucci showed a brazen collection that’s meant either for fantasy women (some hot, sexy gypsy nymph, no doubt), or for women living the fantasy (i.e., celebrities). What’s undeniable here is the seduction factor, which, if tracked by statisticians, would have been leaping off all known charts.
But the clothes held their own against all that bare flesh. An updated Pucci print that was hypnotically beautiful was paired with many of the cropped tops and lacy bras. The details in this collection were masterfully applied, like the handkerchief folds in a voluminous skirt, or the mullet-length skirt that just screamed sex that came decorated by hand in tiny paillettes. The cross necklaces sported by the models were an especially irreverent touch (à la Madonna) given how sinful this collection really is.
