Moschino Cheap & Chic Spring 2012
Never one to let a moment for literal fashion to pass them by, Moschino Cheap & Chic emblazoned one of their blouses with the words “Eco Chic”. We would say that’s all you need to know about this collection, but as much as it was infused with incredible whimsy, there were some really gorgeous pieces that deserve to be talked about.
For the most part, there are aspects of this that will be a surefire hit in Japan – especially in the Harajuku district. Picture it now: rainbow dreadlocks, zany makeup, and striped thigh-highs all completed by Moschino’s strawberry dress. The following frocks were, well, chicer. The criss-cross drape of a silky aqua crinoline frock was pleasing to the eye, as was a blush pink summer dress decorated in hourglass jabots down the front. The fruit graphics were cute, as were the hay bows, carrot hat, and pairings of lace toppers with strawberry-print skirts. However, it was the iris printed gown and the floor-length maxi dress that was covered in a soft snowfall of petals that fashion followers will gravitate toward the most.
