Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2012
While the Spring/Summer 2012 collection for Salvatore Ferragamo was not in any sense “classic Ferragamo”, it was a sizzling, red-hot collection in tropical silks that would have any savvy world traveler salivating. These aren’t typical tropical prints, by the way. These are so punchy and bright that they cause instant pupil dilation in the viewer.
This is a rather simple collection of flowing dresses, draped silk trousers that are knotted at the waist, and easy safari-cum-motorcycle jackets in red, purple, and khaki. While there are no surprises here, there are some really nice gowns to choose from, and a lush palette of juicy colors and sumptuous fabrics. This is a collection sure to be favored by the fashion editor for its stylish look and breezy comfort – perfect for staying fabulous all day long.
