Calvin Klein Spring 2012
Calvin Klein wants to get you naked, or at the very least, wants to remind people of the loveliness of the human figure. His parade of skimpy nude dresses at the start of his SS12 show is a reminder that this classic designer can also be a provocateur.
The all-nude dresses that launch the collection are followed by a dove grey suit with sateen lapel, and then a variety of creamy frocks. A vest and wide-leg trouser combo look fresh and unfussy. It appears that Klein is vying for “best basics at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week” and this collection should win him the title. There are no surprises here, just classic Klein and a hint of skin.
