Paris Fashion Week Coverage
Anne Valerie Hash Fall 2011 Couture
A much-anticipated Fashion Week was kicked off yesterday morning by a new collection from Anne Valérie Hash. Her modest representation at Paris Haute Couture Week showcased 10 looks that merged feminine fragility with masculine lines.
Plunging necklines, asymmetrical cuts, drop waists, loose draped material, big lapels, and smooth fabrics comprised a majority of the ensembles in Hash's latest collection. At the lavish Shangri-La Hotel in Paris, patrons were invited to touch the outfits as they hung on mannequins prior to the show. This was an exquisitely executed collection that favored an immersion of the senses rather than a reinvention of the wheel. These sweetly modest pieces were understated and subtle, while also touching on a cornerstone of any accomplished collection: wearability.
